Ice Dams & Flooding Damages Basements

Here in our area of PA a mixture of snow, sleet and rain has been our weather this cold winter. It results in ice dams and basement flooding when everything starts to melt. Here is a photo of water coming through the walls. Originally there was almost 4 foot of water in this basement. After the local fire department pumped out majority of it we came and pumped then extracted the rest. After the basement was dried out properly with our equipment, we then sprayed the walls with a mold killer then sealed the walls for further protection. Another job well done here at SERVPRO of Western Lancaster County.
